Job Description:
Responsible to the Custodial Supervisor for cleaning College buildings, restrooms, windows, etc. and for assigning work to other custodial workers.
1. Assign work to custodial workers and ensure work is completed.
2. Maintain inventory and order supplies. Report maintenance problems.
3. Dust and polish furniture, window sills, door frames, woodwork, etc.
4. Vacuum carpet, furniture, drapes, etc. Remove spots from carpets. Mop hallways, bathrooms, stairways, etc. Wax such areas, as needed.
5. Wash windows, doorglass, and mirrors. Scrub walls, blinds, etc.
6. Arrange chairs and tables for various meetings, if needed.
7. Clean restrooms. Disinfect areas. Replenish supplies.
8. Dispose of garbage and replace trash liners.
9. Change light bulbs and tighten screws on light fixtures.
10. Shovel snow.
11. Help train new employees.
12. Organize project work.
13. Run and maintain equipment. Responsible for preventative maintenance on equipment.
14. Consistently demonstrate a positive attitude.
15. Must be open and adaptable to change.
16. Must work cooperatively and respectfully with the people you work with.
17. Perform other related duties as assigned.
Minmum Pay Range $11.50-$12.50
Requirements:
High school or GED required. Must be able to read, write, add, subtract, and follow instructions plus three to six months of effective experience. Ability to lift, pull, or push up to 40 pounds and use and climb a ladder.
