Job Description:
Responsible to the director of athletics for the overall management and leadership of the men's intercollegiate golf program. 1. Develop and maintain highly competitive intercollegiate men's golf program within rules and regulations of the institution, the Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, and NCAA Division III. 2. Plan, organize, and manage all phases of the men's golf program including: practices and competitions, athletic development, and recruitment of academically qualified prospective student athletes. 3. Supervise and evaluate assistant coach(s) and other support staff members in an efficient and productive manner. 4. Manage the men's golf budget. 5. Work cooperatively with faculty members, admissions office personnel, admission, alumni and development office personnel, the sports information director, all student support services, and with all athletic department personnel. 6. Recruit student athletes for the men's golf program within the guidelines of Central College, the IIAC, and NCAA Division III. Depending upon experience and qualifications other administrative, teaching and or coaching duties may be considered in combination with this position.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree and three (3) to five (5) years of coaching experience preferred.
